Joe Basili
is a recognized thought leader who has conducted research, written extensively and keynoted conferences on a range of topics that include telecom expense management (TEM), wireless mobility, unified communications, and network performance management. He has lead a successful research practice at AOTMP, worked at an analyst firm, and guided a marketing team of nine professionals focused on corporate marketing, product marketing, competitive analysis, pricing, contract review, marketing communications, branding and Internet marketing.
His career includes experience in sales, operations, marketing and management. At Aberdeen Group, Joe transitioned a small research practice focused on category spend management within the supply chain channel into a dedicated practice focused on TEM, network communications, and mobility management.
His recent experience includes business case analysis, research, professional service consulting, analysis of Business Process Outsourcing, hosted and licensed software, invoice management, billing and e-media, SAS 70 Type II processes, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and payment automation.
Today, Joe is President & Research Director of Network Trends Now. Clients are able to accelerate their growth through insight into markets, channels, and improved positioning. In addition through research reports, public speaking, and advisory relationships he provides best practices on how organizations can optimize their TEM programs, information technology (IT) systems, telecommunications networks, operations, and procurement.
Joe holds a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Political Science from Vanderbilt University. He is a runner, swimmer, and technology enthusiast, and music fanatic with over 9,300 songs on his iPod. Joe lives, with his wife and two children, in the village of South Orange, New Jersey an easy commute to New York City.
